MAIOS / Kernel Nautico
K-Nautico
Agentic operating system for the shipyard
Technical office, shipyard departments, suppliers, crew and after-sales service work on the same project at different times. Owner requirements, configurations, revisions and feedback need to stay connected so each participant can continue from the useful point.
Kernel Nautico gives the AI assistant the knowledge and method to understand the context, compose the relevant competences and retain what the work teaches. The kernel can enter a shipyard, a programme or a vessel’s life cycle through that environment’s sources and tools.
Domain kernel for shipyards · public sources and an interactive guide. The first illustrative case concerns stern access on a yacht.
Explore the kernel
This visual interface is an additional way to use and discover the kernel. Operator and system share the workspace: you explore, guide and act while the system shows context, changes and proposals. Choose a route to open the relevant cards.
Try different card functions
The case and events are illustrative. Notes, drafts and proposals remain local until explicitly exported or transferred. Explicitly submitted questions reach MAIOS AI with the card’s public context. Shipyard and onboard systems participate when the kernel is adopted in their environment.

Work continues, the kernel learns
The project passes through different people and stages. Kernel Nautico connects the work and retains what experience teaches; each environment keeps its own sources, configuration and responsibilities.
From a need to experience
Owner requirements, design, construction, use and after-sales service stay connected.

Feedback from the vessel
Feedback from the different stages can make a new check relevant or improve the method used in subsequent work.
One domain, different organisations
The domain kernel, shipyard, project and individual vessel retain their own identities.

An interface when useful
The visual UI is optional: the kernel can operate through AI conversation and the shipyard’s tools. K-UX-AI adds this shared workspace, where you guide and act while the system makes information, changes and proposals visible. Its form can evolve through use.
A possible extension during vessel inspection
Glasses displaying interactive visual content in real time could bring project drawings, dimensions and revision differences alongside the vessel element being inspected. The representation could change as the operator points, asks or moves. This is a development possibility, using the shipyard’s sources and the receiving environment’s capabilities.
The current demo follows an illustrative stern-access case through cards, tools and dialogue.

Method and documentation
The sources explain the kernel’s purpose, competences and method.
Adopt the kernel with MPK
MPK supplies generic project functions; Kernel Nautico provides marine knowledge and method. The shipyard connects its own sources and tools. Add K-UX-AI when a visual interface helps the work.

Continue with an AI assistant
The AI assistant uses the kernel’s knowledge with shipyard sources and tools. Kernel Nautico can combine with MAIOS Project Kernel (MPK) for project startup, context and continuity. Company configuration connects people, documents, systems and access. The visual UI remains optional.
