K-UX-AI

The kernel that shapes interaction between people and AI.

When an AI assistant participates in a project, people, documents and tools need to work together. A question may call for a guide; two proposals may need a comparison; new feedback may change what needs to be seen.

K-UX-AI gives the AI assistant the knowledge and method to build a shared interface. The operator uses it to understand, guide and act; the system uses it to communicate information, changes and proposals. Both can take part at the same time. The kernel retains competences that evolve through construction and use, with the model, sources and tools of the adopting environment.

Explore the kernel

Cards let you explore K-UX-AI, compare possibilities and prepare a contribution. Selecting a topic opens the workspace, where activities can be arranged around the same subject.

Try the work cards

Cards retain focus and drafts and support local contributions, comparison and exploration. Explicitly submitted questions reach MAIOS AI on a configured site with the card’s public context. Other drafts remain local.

Purpose, method and first use

From the work to the means of continuing it.

An interface helps when it makes a situation and possible interventions understandable. K-UX-AI connects this purpose with construction and the knowledge that experience can evolve.

Relations in the method

Understand, build, use and learn

The present case can change understanding, expression or method. These relations remain connected throughout the work.

  1. Understand

Recognise people, the object, sources and what needs to become visible.

  2. Build

Compose text, space, motion and tools; construct the interface.

  3. Use

Explore, compare and intervene while retaining the object, focus and drafts.

  4. Learn

Use feedback and consequences to improve the relevant competence.

Feedback can correct understanding or construction and change the method for the next use.

Compose with a system that already works

The environment preserves its own knowledge and work actions. K-UX-AI contributes the competence that shapes interaction.

  • Working environmentContext, sources, AI model and available tools.
  • K-UX-AIUnderstanding, composition and interface construction.
  • People and AIQuestions, interventions and feedback on the same work.

A project, company or laboratory can integrate K-UX-AI with its own sources and existing tools.

Different cards around the same work

One card can retain your draft while another shows an AI reply or observation. The shared workspace keeps the subject recognisable while operator actions and system communication take place at the same time.

New surfaces, the same interaction

With glasses that display interactive video in real time, information, diagrams and tools could accompany what a person sees and does. The visual experience could change with their gaze, voice or gestures, making useful details, relationships and changes easier to perceive during work. This is a development direction for the medium.

The current demo uses cards, tools and dialogue.

Method and documentation

The sources explain purpose, competences, construction decisions and work continuity.

An application in a shipyard

In a shipyard, design, construction and service concern the same vessel. The Kernel Nautico presentation lets you explore this work through cards and dialogues using the sector’s terminology.
